To book the initial appointment or make a professional referral, please fill out our confidential online form to the left. Alternatively, you can speak to us at (902) 406-3400. If you would like to request a particular therapist, you can provide this information in the online form. Please be assured that we can help you determine which therapist would best be able to address your concerns.

Once the referral has been received, you will be contacted within a day to make arrangements for an appointment. For emergencies or if you are in crisis and require immediate intervention, please call 911 or head to the ER.

Fees

Appointments with our registered therapists range from $175 to $210 per 50 minute session. This leaves ten minutes per hour for your therapist to make notes and effectively manage your case.

Please note that counselling and therapy services provided by a private practice are not covered by MSI in Nova Scotia even with a physician's referral. An extended health plan with a private insurance company such as Blue Cross, SunLife, etc. may cover our services depending on the specific details of your policy. We will provide you with a paid receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We offer Direct Billing with most Blue Cross plans.

Cancellations & Missed Sessions

Missed appointments and late cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, will result in a charge equal to 100% of the reserved service amount. We understand that sometimes there are unforeseen circumstances, such as illness or inclement weather, which may prevent clients from attending their session. You will not be charged for sessions that are cancelled due to inclement weather. If your therapist cancels your appointment, you will not be charged for that session.
